How does it work?

We get nuclear energy by fusing two atoms together called fusion and by splitting the atom called fission. Nuclear energy is produced to generate electricity, explode atomic bombs, power submarines, nuclear power plants, etc. There is no other way to get nuclear energy. Again, nuclear energy is produced by changes in the nucleus of an atom.
